The Biodiversity Offsets Scheme training for local government is designed to help local government staff to understand the fundamental concepts of:

  • the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016
  • the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme
  • the Biodiversity Assessment Method
  • assessor accreditation
  • local government's role in the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme.

The course includes 12 eLearning modules completed at a self-directed pace (total approximately 6 hours).

Assessment: 

Competency is not assessed. Multiple-choice quizzes are included to reinforce key messages. There is no limit to the number of attempts, and marks are not recorded.

Delivery Method: 

Self-paced, online. 6 months to complete the modules, plus an additional 6 months to review the eLearning content. 

Certificate of Completion:

You will receive a Certificate of Completion upon completion of all modules and quizzes.
